The United States Donates Half a Million COVID-19 Vaccine Doses to Costa Rica

Estados Unidos dona medio millón de dosis de vacunas Covid-19 a Costa Rica Press Release Tuesday, July 13, 2021 The United States Embassy in San Jose is pleased to announce the arrival of half a million Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine doses at Juan Santamaria Airport on July 13, donated to Costa Rica by the United States Government as part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s global vaccine sharing framework. The donation of 500,000 COVID-19 doses is in addition to the more than $4 million worth of field hospitals, ventilators, and other medical supplies already donated by the U.S. government to Costa Rica since the beginning of the pandemic.   President Biden has said that the United States is committed to bringing the same urgency to international vaccination efforts that we have demonstrated at home.  The United States is in a position to help others thanks to the ingenuity of U.S. scientists and the resilience and commitment of the American people.
