SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A professional eater is headed to Sioux Falls to take on a challenge of excess no one has ever completed.
Randy Santel, a competition eater with millions of social media followers, has accepted the “Gorilla Dumpster Challenge” at Urban Chislic, t he Sioux Falls Argus Leader reported Friday.
Santel will have to consume six-and-a-quarter pounds of beef, lamb, chicken and pork chislic over kettle chips, double orders of cheese curds and fries and eight sauces. Urban Chislic co-owner Hong Phrommany said no one has ever completed the challenge.

Throughout the month of January, Food Network’s
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives will take viewers on a culinary adventure through some of Sioux Falls’ most delicious restaurants. The show’s boisterous host, Guy Fieri, visited South Dakota’s largest city in 2020, finding plenty of “flavor-bombs” along the way at restaurants such as Urban Chislic, Lalibela and ‘O’ So Good.
Guy’s trip to South Dakota was also a special one because it completed the show’s goal of visiting all 50 states.

Three Sioux Falls area staples will be featured in the âSouth Dakota Smorgasbordâ episode, which airs Friday. Featured restaurants include O So Good, Urban Chislic and Lalibelaâs.
The restaurants are each known for flavorful dishes with their own spin on traditional meals. The summary for the episodes says:
