distractions that we have been getting out of the republicans over the last week and aided by the president this morning when he tweeted that now we know that there is no collusion between donald trump and russia. it was all hillary clinton. the uranium story and foreshadowing something big to come. the fact, that well, the report that mueller filed the charges is an indication that he is moving very quickly to perhaps get someone to flip. in the investigation. because prosecutors don t normally do charges this early in the investigation. this is something that s big. it s moving pretty quickly. ron, the idea here is that this, you know, if this investigation, sort of wrapping up, impacts in some way the investigations going on in the house and in particularly the senate where they seem to be more serious at least on the senate intelligence side of doing it. what do you expect to be staffers to be talking about tonight on that senate side thinking about their own

talking about this uranium 1 story. did hillary clinton get influenced by the russians? it s become a bipartisan thick to talk about putin s influence in america. so i think broadly the idea that a hostile foreign country is trying to meddle in the united states is unsettling to people, but i think the day-to-day, here is a new story about who paid for what memo and a new dote that came out, i think a lot of that is lost on most people who are worried about how am i going to pay my bills we are what s my tax bill going to look like? if they do care about getting the truth out of this, they need to be fair, we need to be fair on how it s reported or covered. if there is truth or veracity to the uranium story, let s go after it with as much intensity as it has been on the trump. i think that has been cooked up. i think president trump would agree the whole russia thing is cooked up. he should take that up with the intelligence community. because the entire intelligence community
why was congress not informed of this matter? house oversight and judiciary committees have launched a joint effort to investigate the clinton e-mail investigation, including the fbi s decision not to bring charges. congressman cummings, do you share chairman nunez s concerns about this uranium story? we all have to i think it s no problem in looking into it. but, again, i emphasize, ladies and gentlemen, you know i mean, it s coming over like a bulletin. please, understand, our electoral system is under attack. right. now we re going back to wait a minute. hold on. we re going back to hillary clinton. again, i believe this is a distraction. they can put that on the back burner for a moment. we ve got elections coming up. we ve got the american people wanting their business to be done and we can t even basically get any real investigation into
democrats excuse me, at first funded by republicans who were obviously trying to understand the vulnerabilities of the trump campaign and then of course funded by democrats. so i m not sure this story tells us a lot more than we previously knew. the key issue, brian, really is during the campaign it was designed to figure out whether there are vulnerabilities to trump and his political efforts. but now that he s president, the steele dossier is relevant because it shows what vulnerabilities he has as our commander in chief, which is of course much more serious. it shows ways the russians could coerce him, ways russia has leverage over him. and that s something all americans, republican and democrats should be worried about. and when people hear about this you reanium story special when it s applied to past administration, when it s applied to democrats, and this is was today s headline on the uranium story.
