Kings Mountain, Uptown Shelby kick off community events
The city of Kings Mountain will kick off its “Live Music at Patriots Park” Concert Series Saturday. After the seclusion of 2020, Special Events Director Christy Connor said she is ecstatic to interact with the public again, saying community gatherings are good for the soul.
“It’s a long time coming,” said Connor. “I’m excited just to be able to connect with our community again. It’s vital. We as a city and community embrace gatherings and being able to socialize with our neighbors. It’s good for mental health, and it’s good to be able to celebrate life again.”
