A man sought by the Guam Police Department self-surrendered to Superior Court of Guam court marshals Thursday and officers now are searching for another man, according to GPD spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao. In a statement, Tapao said Jerome Camacho Cruz self-surrendered and was later arrested on suspicion of hindering apprehension and warrant of arrest. Cruz was wanted in connection with an aggravated assault complaint in Tamuning. Police on Dec. 31 issued a wanted flyer with Cruz’s photo and general information, calling on the community to help them find Cruz. Cruz was tested for COVID-19 and had negative results, according to GPD. He’s since been booked and confined and the case has been forwarded for prosecution.
