Rossland Spring Clean-up begins May 3rd

The start of spring means it's time for some spring cleaning! The City will begin pick-up on Tuesday May 3rd starting at Redstone, then Lower Rossland, Pinewood, Upper Rossland then finishing at the Red Mountain area. Rossland musician hosts free Bachyard concert for Iconic Church

by Contributor on Friday Jul 02 2021 Musician Carolyn Cameron A fter a drought of live events, classical music enthusiasts are set to enjoy a free Bachyard concert in Rossland hosted by accomplished local musician Carolyn Cameron, with some tasty treats provided by Hooper’s Bakery.  The two, one-hour long sessions for Bach Aficionados will take place at 2pm and 4pm on Sunday, 11 July in Upper Rossland and donations to St Andrew’s United Church Rehab Project are welcomed, but not compulsory.  Carolyn, who isn’t entirely new to the outdoor fundraising concert scene, will transform her patio and elevated yard into a ‘staged’ performance for her celebration of Bach.  The line up will feature Bach’s Italian Concertina, played on the Harpsichord, for which it was originally written and his Solo Violin No. 1 Sonata in G Minor.  It will also include a pandemic collaboration of live violin and recorded piano for a rendition of ‘Spiegel i
