Upper Lakes Foods partnered with the high school to offer the class to seniors. A total of 20 students are enrolled and will have the opportunity to earn their CDL permits.
David Paul Strang, age 70 of Cloquet, MN and formerly of South Range, WI passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet. He was born on March 9, 1953, in Winton, MN to William and Virginia Strang. David grew up in the Lakeside neighborhood of Duluth, MN and was a 1971 graduate of Cathedral High School. He continued his education at the University of Minnesota - Duluth Campus and began his career as a member of the Carpenters Union. David owned his construction business for over ten years before taking full-time employment with Upper Lakes Foods in 1994 as a supply and equipment salesman. He was very passionate about his work, often contributing to additional projects outside of business hours. His coworkers became close friends, and he appreciated many cookouts, golf events, and hunting and fishing tournaments with them. David retired in February of 2023.
