Former police chief runs for school board | News, Sports, Jobs

Mar 8, 2021 David Young is running for the Republican nomination for the Region II seat on the Montoursville Area School Board. Region II includes Fairfield and Upper Fairfield townships. Young retired in 2016 from the State Police after serving 26 years and holding the rank of Captain, Troop F, Montoursville. “As the Captain of Troop F, I was in charge of over 275 sworn Troopers, as well as 25 civilian employees. My coverage area included eight stations spanning nine counties in the Central Region of Pennsylvania” Young said, according to a news release. “As the Captain of Troop F I was responsible for each stations budgets, manpower allocations, scheduling, and overall performance of those under my command.
