Saga Communications
Spencer, IA (KICD) People from all over northwest Iowa were extremely generous with donations during April Foods Day Thursday.
The Spencer Radio Group team delivered 12 full truck loads of food to the pantry throughout the day – in addition to another $3,800 in cash collected.
Trish Porath is with the Upper Des Moines Food Pantry – she tells KICD News all the cash donations will be spent at local grocery stories in Spencer to stock the shelves at the food pantry. All the donations given Thursday will stay in Clay County.
On behalf of Upper Des Moines and all of us at Spencer Radio Group – we thank the many individuals, families and businesses who drove into our north parking lot Thursday. The “Stuff The Truck” event was one of the largest one-day food drives held.
