As part of the Agricultural Workforce Resilience Package announced in September 2020, our Government has extended funding to continue the work of the ground-breaking Safe Farming Tasmania program for a further 12 months to 30 June 2022. Funding has also increased by $150 000 per year in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 financial years to provide for the appointment of a second Senior Safe Farming Work Health and Safety Advisor to help make Tasmanian farms safer, ensure they are ready for a large influx of new seasonal workers, and to ensure that appropriate COVID-safe measures are in place.
