Top Story May 6, 2021 ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Wednesday declared a report submitted by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) as “unsatisfactory” while hearing a suo motu case on the coronavirus situation in the country. CJP Gulzar, who is heading the bench hearing the suo motu case, remarked that all affairs of the disaster management authority were “messed up”. He said that the government set up an N-95 factory for a private company. “All the machinery and duties for the factory were paid in cash, the machinery was ordered by a chartered plane and the payment was made in cash,” observed the CJP. He also questioned why the Pakistan Embassy in China was used for buying the equipment.

Punjab CM terms law, order satisfactory National April 20, 2021 LAHORE: Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has termed law and order in the province satisfactory and said that all the law enforcement agencies, including police and Rangers were discharging their obligations efficiently. Usman Buzdar appealed to the people for not listening to the speculations being disseminated through social media and other unauthentic sources of information. Responsible government sources are informing the people about the overall situation, he added. Top Story April 19, 2021 LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that except for one point in Lahore city, where some elements have blocked a main road, law and order situation in the provincial capital as well as all parts of the province is satisfactory. In a press statement, the chief minister called upon people not to believe in the messages being shared on the social media and other unauthentic sources of information, which are being spread as part of the propaganda campaign by miscreants. He said the responsible government departments and persons concerned had been updating people about the actual situation regularly. He assured the people of Punjab that maintenance of law and order situation and protection of their lives and properties was a prime responsibility of the government and the police, Rangers and other law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) were performing duties efficiently.
