Smokers aged 18 and over are encouraged by the NHS and the Government to use vaping to help get off cigarettes and they are seen as a key tool for the UK to become smoke-free by 2030.
Shadow health secretary Wes Streeting said the party was considering introducing the move, replicating a similar ban enforced in Australia, to curb the rise of vaping in British children.
Admission rates for vaping-related disorders in under-20s generally in England have risen six-fold over the same time-frame. Usage rates among teens have almost doubled in a decade.
