This is not, to say the least, the welcome MetroHealth wanted to offer its new CEO, Airica Steed, or the one the veteran Chicago hospital executive deserved.
Steed, currently an executive in the Sinai Chicago Health System, will succeed Dr. Akram Boutros, who last year announced plans to retire when his contract ends at the end of 2022. Boutros has led MetroHealth since 2013.
