Gardening column will help island green thumbs

“Plants can be grown in wet and dry seasons, but it’s best to start out with things that are easy, build your confidence, and go to the more difficult plants to grow,” Wall said.  She obtained a bachelor’s degree in horticulture, the art and practice of gardening cultivation and management, from Texas A&M University in 1983. She later received her master’s in environmental science from the University of Guam in 2009.  In the upcoming months, she will write about the types of plants that can grow on Guam, ways to treat pest infestation, and tricks to make gardening more fun.
