A 22-year-old student of the University of Ghana, Emmanuella Catherine Hayford who is an amputee, has been provided with a prosthetic leg to aid her mobility.
Before receiving the prosthetic leg, Hayford used to painstaking climb a three-storey building to attend lectures at the University of Ghana.
The University of Ghana Alumni Association, North America (UGAANA) led by its president, Gifty Dankyi, raised a total amount of $6,000 (GHc34,440.00) to help Emmanuella’s quest to walk normally to access knowledge.
