James (Jim) Allen Snyder

James (Jim) Allen Snyder, age 77, of Titusville, FL went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday August 30, 2022, after a long battle with dementia. He was at home surrounded by loving family. Jim was born in Fargo, ND on May 31, 1945, to Harry B Snyder and Gladys I Rushfeldt Snyder. He graduated from Buffalo High School in 1963 and attended 1 year at the ND State University. In 1964 he served in the US Army as a clerk typist with the 1st Logistical Command in Saigon, Vietnam and honorably discharged in 1967 to the ND Army Reserves Engineering Group until his final discharge in 1970. During the time in the reserves, he returned to NDSU and graduated with a BS in Psychology. Jim and Mary Anne Schulz married in Fargo on December 29. 1972. Acknowledging God’s call in 1972, he entered University of Dubuque Theological Seminary and was awarded a Master of Divinity degree. He was then ordained by the North Dakota Presbytery in June 1975 at his home church in Buffalo.

ABOUT THIS PRIMARY: John Munter of Warba, Minnesota, and Jen Schultz of Duluth are vying in the Aug. 9 primary to be the Democratic candidate for Northeastern Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District. The winner will advance to Election Day on Nov. 8 to face the Republican candidate.
