Hi everyone, This year marks the 50th anniversary of the first operation of the University’s Heavy Ion Accelerator Facility (HIAF) – one of the largest pieces of research infrastructure at ANU, the most powerful ion accelerator in Australia, and one of the three most powerful of its type in the world. I had the pleasure of attending a gala dinner in honour of HIAF’s 50-year
