Wood: Transformation of Society
Every year in early April the Universal House of Justice sends a message to the Baha i world community. It is called the Ridvan message in honor of the event which took place in the Garden of Ridvan on the eastern bank of the Tigris river in Baghdad in 1863. It was the place where Baha u llah made the public declaration of His station and mission to a group of His associates and invited guests. The event took place over 12 days. Baha is celebrate the first, ninth and twelfth days as Holy Days.
