Updated: 1:22 PM EDT Jul 12, 2021 By Russ Reed A Massachusetts native who starred for the Boston College baseball team has been selected in the first round of the 2021 Major League Baseball draft.Sal Frelick, of Lexington, was drafted with the 15 overall pick by the Milwaukee Brewers Sunday night.Frelick, a left-handed hitter, batted .359 with 17 doubles, six home runs, two triples, 27 runs batted in and 50 runs scored as a junior during the 2021 season.The 21-year-old was an All-ACC First Team selection and one of 25 semifinalists for the Golden Spikes Award, which is presented to the top amateur baseball player in the country by USA Baseball.Frelick was lauded for his spectacular work in the outfield this year. He started 48 games in centerfield and was perfect in 127 chances with one outfield assist. He was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year and earned an American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Gold Glove award, becoming the first Boston College pl
