One man was wounded in a shooting on the city s north side Wednesday evening.
Wichita Falls Police were alerted to gunshots in the area of Roanoke Drive and Ridgeway Drive about 5:45 p.m.
Officers found Traveon Teague, in a nearby alley suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He suffered serious but non-life-threatening wounds, according to detective Sgt. Brian Sheehan. The victim was taken to United Regional by ambulance.
Sheehan said a person of interest was being questioned but no arrests have been made.
Witnesses reported hearing yelling, obscenities and multiple gunshots. They said the suspected shooter chased the victim, firing at him, then got into a vehicle and fled the scene.

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TNN) - Just over a month in and United Regional has already vaccinated over 130 people across Wichita Falls thanks to the food bank.
Each week, United Regional has been bringing COVID-19 vaccines to each Wichita Falls Area Food Bank Mobile Pantry site.
It’s been a mixture of Pfizer and Moderna doses, with nurses on site providing vaccine education and information on where and how to receive the second dose.
Nurses at United Regional said it’s been great to see community members take advantage of the easy access to get vaccinated.

Authorities say the small civilian airplane crashed into a home in the town of Hattiesburg around 11:20 Tuesday night.
