City of Phoenix officials say they will reconsider a decision to enact a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for its employees amid concerns over negative impact on city services.
The Phoenix City Council will hold a public hearing on Dec. 7, 2021, regarding its vaccine mandate, which will require the city's 14,000 employees, including police officers and firefighters, to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Jan. 18, 2022, or risk losing their jobs.
