Winners To Be Announced For 7th Annual Peace In The Streets Global Film Festival

Peace In The Streets Global Film Festival (PSGFF) will be announced today via a screening on United Nations-related programming. The event will also serve as a closer for the 75th anniversary celebrations of the UN itself. PSGFF asks socially-conscious filmmakers under age 18 to tell their stories via a film between one and five minutes in length and to answer a prompt of sorts, tackling what the word ‘peace’ means to them. The film festival is produced by The Peacemaker Corps, a 23-year-old United Nations NGO whose mission is to support peace and tolerance education among young people globally. Submissions are free, can be recorded on any device, and were due this year on Nov. 1 with winners being judged by their message and not technical skills. Participants created projects about the global pandemic, international protests, and other topics of the day. The PSGFF saw entries from 30 countries around the world, it said, with winners hailing from 12 countries.
