Kochanova: The pandemic has affected the established practices in international relations Natalya Kochanova MINSK, 15 April (BelTA) – A Belarusian parliament delegation led by Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova has taken part in the international parliamentary conference “Global challenges and threats amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Terrorism and violent extremism”, BelTA has learned. The video conference was organized by the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States in association with the parliamentary assemblies of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the Council of Europe, the Mediterranean, and the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office.

Global Programme on Countering Terrorist Threats launched with Qatar funding  24 Jan 2021 - 8:02 QNA New York: The Global Programme on Countering Terrorist Threats against Vulnerable Targets has been launched with funding from the State of Qatar as part of its strong partnership with parties to the Global Strategy for coordinating the cooperation with the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism, within the framework of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy. Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations H E Ambassador Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani underlined that the State of Qatar realises this responsibility and follows a comprehensive approach to preventing and combating threats of terrorism and dealing with advanced threats; while paying special attention to the protection of vulnerable targets, expressing confidence that the Global Programme launched today will be key to achieving these goals.
