The idea of supplier diversity began in 1969 after President Richard Nixon signed Executive Order 11458, creating the Office of Minority Business Enterprise. UK's own Supplier Diversity Program, led by Marilyn Clark, strives to be intentional, sustainable, replicable and most importantly positive impact the minority-owned, women-owned and other underrepresented businesses it serves.
