Bangladesh s 40 percent power to come from renewables by 2041: Nasrul Hamid United News of Bangladesh (UNB)
Bangladesh, June 2 State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid has said that 40 percent of electricity will come from renewable sources by 2041.
Such a strategy was adopted in the country s Power System Master Plan (PSMP), he said while addressing at the Bangladesh-UK Climate Partnership Roundtable on Tuesday in the city, said a press release of the ministry.
Nasrul Hamid mentioned that about 20 million rural people were brought under the electrification facilities through 5.8 million solar home systems (SHSs).
