Flora C. (Conca) Clark, 96, formerly of Canton

Tuesday, May 11, 2021 - 9:05 pm Mrs. Flora C. (Conca) Clark, age 96 1/2, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 5 May 2021 in Canton, NY, with her daughter Leslie by her side and those she loved most in her heart. Born in Utica, NY on 21 October 1924, Flora was the daughter of the late Louis and Philomena (DeNicola) Conca. She was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School/Class of 1942 and she received Masters Degrees in French and Spanish from The Albany State Teachers College. She taught at Sherrill High School in Sherrill, NY where she met the love of her life, Charles Herbert (Charlie) Clark. She later taught at the Vernon, Verona, Sherrill (VVS) Central High School. Flora and Charlie were married on 19 Aug 1949 in St. Agnes Church in Utica, NY. Brought together through their mutual interest in education and their lifelong love of their Christmas Tree Farm in Western NY, they were an inspiration to their three children and three grandchildren. Charlie died on 28 August 1987.
