Salinas-based contractor failed to pay hundreds of farmworkers, now facing half a million in penalties

An investigation done by the U.S. Department of Labor found that the A Oseguera Company, based in Salinas, withheld final paychecks, and transportation expenses to 542 local farm workers. The company was penalized by the U.S. District Court in San Francisco for nearly half a million dollars.
