The National Economic Council (NEC) has said the organised labour should be patient and wait for the October 1 Independence Day broadcast by President Bola Tinubu, claiming he would discuss issues of welfare. The NEC hence urged the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) to shelve their planned industrial action. The Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, issued the appeal on Thursday while briefing State House Correspondents shortly after the NEC meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
