notifying officials as to what these train cars are carrying. that s something that governor of ohio said that was a failure this this case, that officials weren t told exactly what hazardous chemicals were on these train cars, even though they were supposed to have been told. well, there s a bit of a debate on that point. so the train if it was designated in hht, a high hazard flammable train or federalable unit train, there should be notification of what s on it. but there s sosm disagreement on whether these plastic pelts fell into that category. had it been crude oil or other fuels, it would have fallen into that category. because the train was so long, it probably would have had additional standards awe plied to it it any way.

it is not like they had to be rescued? correct. they waited for the team to get to them. tell me about the targ go this train was carrying. my understanding is it was cement. is that the case? yes. this is what we call a unit train, 64 cars all hauling cement. what about diesel fuel from the trains and locomotives? is that, indeed, seeping into the water there? that is certainly something we are concerned about in keeping an eye on. we have our environmental contractors nearby that are working to lay out some protective boon through the area to make sure if there are any leaks that we will be able to collect it and protect the waterways. jeff, what s your understanding as to the dynamics

transporting and how do you even begin the cleanup efforts for this. well, this train is what we call a unit train. it was carrying 64 loads of cement which is something that we carry on a regular basis here in texas as we help build roads and houses and everything. as far as cleanup, it s going to take a while. we re kind of at the mercy of mother nature and waiting for the waters to subside so we can get heavy equipment out there to lift the cars back up and put them on the track. we ll also have to do extensive repair work to that track so that we can get those cars moved out. we ll be looking to salvage as much of the material that is in the railcars as we can so that we minimize the impact that it has on the immediate area. how many train cars are we talking here, how far does it stretch? the train itself had 64 cars
