It seems obvious: When society puts its stamp of approval on today’s high-potency marijuana, more kids will start using it. But legalization advocates claim otherwise, asserting that by legalizing marijuana we can better regulate it and keep it out of the hands of kids.
The shop, named Union Square Travel Agency: A Cannabis Store, opened Monday at noon to less fanfare than NYC's first legal weed dispensary. But the opening comes as concern is growing about the unlicensed, illegal shops that have flooded the streets of neighborhoods around the city.
