A group, Campaign for Democratic and Workers Rights (CDWR) has described the sacking of 450 Lagos State Water Corporation workers as insensitive. The Lagos State Water Corporation sacked 450 casual workers last week. It was learnt that the affected staff members were shocked when they were served with sack letters on Tuesday and given an ultimatum to surrender all the government property in their care. The decision to sack the workers was said to have jolted some of the staff members who were not affected by the exercise.
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), yesterday, picketed the corporate headquarters of Fidelity Bank Plc in Lagos over alleged disobedience to court order.
