Many countries, including US, UK, Canada, France, Germany came to the forefront to give India medical help and assistance in the form of oxygen concentrators, ventilators, raw materials for vaccines, PPE kits.
A vacation bench of Justices R V Ghuge and B U Debadwar noted that the Union government was more concerned about the company that manufactured and supplied the dysfunctional ventilators than the lives of citizens.

NEW DELHI: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday informed that more than 1.60 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses are available with states/Union Territories (UTs), which can be administered.
As part of the nationwide vaccination drive, the Government of India has been supporting the states and UTs by providing them Covid-19 vaccines free of cost. In addition, the Government of India has also been facilitating direct procurement of vaccines by the states/UTs.
Vaccination is an integral pillar of the comprehensive strategy of the government for containment and management of the pandemic, along with Test, Track, Treat and CovidAppropriate Behaviour.
