Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan on Tuesday hardened his stand against Pinarayi Vijayan over the Student Federation of India s (SFI) ongoing stir against him, reiterating that it was a "conspiracy" hatched by the Chief Minister while the protesters were acting as per his "instructions".

Announcing his decision to take on the state government over the economic situation, Khan said: "The chief minister is saying the government is not bound to reply to every query of the Governor. Let him not reply. I will wait for 10 days. And then, if the state is in crisis, it is my duty to make my recommendations to the central government".
A technical correction to say it was Union Minister V Muraleedharan who answered the Parliament question on Hamas and not Meenakshi Lekhi is being made, said the Ministry of External Affairs.
