CHILTON COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) - If youâre 18 years and older you are eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccine in Chilton County Thursday, April 15.
The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) will hold a free vaccine clinic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Union Grove Baptist Church located at 11501 County Road 51 in Jemison.
No appointment is necessary for the clinic which will use the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. The second-dose clinic is scheduled for May 12

Today as Kim met with the doctors, they informed her that his condition was not improving any further and continued to decline. The decision was made to remove the ventilator, and very soon after, he went home to be with the Lord. Our Pastor s word through this was hope . Even though we will miss him greatly, I am thankful that his hope and faith have now become sight, and he has experienced perfect healing. We will keep the church informed of arrangements as they become finalized. Please be in prayer for Kim, Claire, and all of the family during this time. We ask that you not call or text the family during this time. You are loved.

Annie Lee Wright, 88, of Chattanooga, went softly in the arms of our Lord on Sunday, January 10, 2021 in NHC Chattanooga.
She was born in Camp Hill, Al., the daughter of the late Charlie and Vera Menniefield. Anna (as she was affectionally known) was a graduate of Alexander City Colored High School, Alexander City, Alabama. She was a long-time resident of Chattanooga. She was trained and licensed in one of the first classes at Erlanger Hospital as a licensed practical nurse. She worked at Erlanger Hospital until accepting a nursing position at Moccasin Bend Psychiatric Hospital. She provided care for her patients until she was promoted to patient care coordinator. In this position she monitored and review Medicare patient care. After more than 30 years in the health care field, she retired.
