Dennis Sweeney is always willing to grill hot dogs, hand out dictionaries to third-graders or spend hours on the phone lining up a speaker for the next meeting of the Endicott Rotary Club.
These are some of the numerous tasks he’s done during his 36 years as a member of the club. Part of Rotary International, the club is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
“It’s the history of people who have come before us and done good things for the village over time,” Sweeney said. “That tradition can be carried on. We have tried to keep it vibrant enough to attract people through good times and bad.”
