High pressure will move into place by this afternoon, which will bring a surge of cold air to start the weekend. The winds will be picking up close to 20 mph causing the light snow to blow and giving the state dangerous wind chills. Last nights surge of rainfall has already forced crews to put up barricades on george flagg parkway. Its now closed from southeast 30th to park avenue. Crews at Water Works Park are closely monitoring river levels as well.
