UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) â The Union City Chargers split a Big 8 Conference baseball doubleheader with Jonesville on Saturday as they won the opener 2-1 but dropped the nightcap 8-4.
Union Cityâs Kyle Johnson struck out 10 and tossed a complete game one hitter in the opener.
Jonesville took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning but Union City rallied for single runs in the fifth and sixth innings to get the win.
Jonesville used a five run sixth inning to break the second game open. The Chargers were unable to overcome seven errors.
