The Delhi High Court on Thursday issued notice to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on appeals filed by four Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) operatives who have challenged the sentence awarded to them by the trial court last November.
A Special NIA Court here on Monday awarded life imprisonment to five Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists, and five year rigorous imprisonment to another in connection with a terror case.
The Court held that mere possession of literature of particular religious philosophy would not amount to an offence under section 20 unless material showed execution of such philosophy to carry out terrorist acts.
