Carnival Cruise Line announced Tuesday that its future cruise bookings doubled after the company relaxed its COVID protocols on Friday. Vaccinated passengers no longer need to get tested just before cruises lasting less than 16 nights and unvaccinated passengers no longer have to submit to an exemption request process and now only need to show a negative test result prior to boarding. Other major cruise lines made similar announcements in recent days and stock prices are up sharply for Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian.
