The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce called for immediate relief for the unemployment insurance surcharges being handed out to New York businesses.
Last month, the Rhode Island General Assembly adjourned for 2022. Two years removed from the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the legislative session finally returned to a familiar pace.
The new system will streamline the filing process for unemployed workers and the approximately 115,000 employers who pay into the state’s Unemployment Trust Fund.
