The law, signed by Gov. Wes Moore last month, repealed the statute of limitations concerning damages in civil lawsuits regarding child sexual abuse claims.
During a press conference Tuesday, the attorneys praised the law and encouraged other states to take similar action.
“Hopefully, prayerfully other states will follow because it just didn t happen in the state of Maryland as we all know,” Crump said.
“There s so much anger in my life. So much hate,” said victim Marc Floto. “I just hope I can help somebody else understand that they can come forward and talk, or help somebody else young.”

Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesArtistic expression seems to run in John Mellencamp’s family, and it s the subject of a new exhibit now showing in Youngstown, Ohio.
BLOODLINE: The Art of John Mellencamp & Speck Mellencamp, at the Beecher Center’s Flad B Gallery, features 19 paintings, 10 done by Mellencamp and another nine from his son Speck. The showing is described as a “fascinating, two-person exhibition which celebrates figurative expressionism at a very high level.”
“What is clear about the art of John Mellencamp is that his works [extend] the rich tradition of American expressionistic art,” Executive Director Louis A. Zona shares. “Speck’s colors, muted but beautiful, add richness to his work, with impressionistic-like highlights contributing much to the overall effectiveness of the paintings.”
The exhibit opened earlier this week at The Butler Institute of American Art and runs until July 2.

ABC News(ALLEN, Texas) A mom of two is recounting the harrowing moments she and other shoppers huddled for safety as a mass shooting unfolded at the Allen Premium Outlets in Allen, Texas, on Saturday afternoon.
Racquel Lee told ABC News she was shopping alone when a "spraying" of gunfire rang out.
"I see a woman running in the parking lot, or trying to get to the parking lot. And she s by our window and I see her get gunned down," Lee said.
"All of us were just paralyzed," she said. "I just remember crouching down. . There was nowhere to run in the store."
Lee said a store associate then led her and 11 other shoppers to an employee area to hide as the sound of the shots moved closer.

Samir Hussein/WireImageElton John’s songwriting partner Bernie Taupin will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year in the Musical Excellence category, and he’s honored to be chosen.
“I’m just happy that it’s happened, and at my age,” the 73-year-old tells Rolling Stone. “ Excited is not a word I tend to use too much, but I’m very appreciative of the whole thing. It’s nice to be in a club with so many legends and so much history.”
The honor comes almost 30 years after Elton’s induction ceremony, during which he gave Taupin his trophy. Asked whether he would return the favor and give his to Elton, Bernie replied, “I never thought about that! Um . no!”
Next up for Taupin, he’ll release his memoir, Scattershot: Life, Music, Elton & Me, on September 12. Then it’s back to work with Elton. He says they have plans to make another album once Elton’s wrapped his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, although nothing’s solidified yet. H
