(Anadolu photo) MANILA - The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) is now coordinating with other government agencies for rescue personnel and equipment that could be deployed to Trkiye which was hit by a magnitude 7.8 earthquake on Monday. "Currently, OCD is coordinating with concerned agencies and mustering available manpower and equipment for possible deployment according to the request of Trkiye," OCD administrator Undersecretary Ariel F. Nepomuceno said in a statement late Monday night. He also added that the Philippines, through the OCD and other member agencies of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, is prepared to extend necessary assistance to the earthquake-hit country.
