Pak, SA teams undergo coronavirus test

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and South Africa cricket teams underwent Covid-19 testing on Sunday evening shortly after their arrival here at a local hotel.
The test results are expected on Monday morning after which the teams would head to Pindi Stadium for a practice session.
All the support staff and those part of the bio-secure bubble took the same flight from Karachi to Islamabad Sunday afternoon.
“Soon after arriving at the hotel, both the teams, support staff and others underwent Covid-19 test. Sunday was observed as traveling and rest day,” a team official said.

ISLAMABAD: Mufti Abdul Qavi s uncle on Saturday withdrew the honor of Mufti from the cleric and confiscated his cell phone after a video surfaced of him being slapped by TikTok star Hareem Shah a few days back. Reportedly, Qavi s uncle Abdul Wahid took away his cellphone due to his controversial statements and actions which were criticised over various social media platforms. Wahid said that the world is denouncing Qavi s controversial stunts and that he will be given psychiatric treatment .

The Leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress, MP Rauf Hakeem has been quarantined after it was confirmed that he was infected with the coronavirus.
15 MP s of the ruling party and the opposition who were close associates of MP Rauf Hakeem were also isolated.
All of them have been instructed to undergo PCR tests.
Gayantha Karunatilake and Thalatha Athukorala from Samagi Janabalavegaya and M.A. Sumanthiran of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) have been quarantined.
Also MPs, M. Rasamanickckam, Faisal Qasim, M.M. Haarris, M.S. Tawfiq and Nasir Ahmed have been quarantined.
Also, the chamber of Parliament was disinfected yesterday (10).
