Coronado man s death ruled suicide in 1946, today recognized as racial terror lynching

Kevin Ashley is a local historian documenting Coronado's Black history, and curator of the Coronado Historical Association's current exhibition, "An Island Looks Back: Uncovering Coronado's Hidden African-American History." An Enlightening Presentation

Coronado Historical Association Museum’s current exhibit, “An Island Looks Back – Uncovering Coronado’s Hidden African American History,” is inspiring and heart-stirring, although it includes heart-breaking aspects of that history.
