An amendment has been proposed to the Unborn Victims of ViolenceBill (HR 1997) to provide employment protections to victims ofdomestic violence. However, current law already providessubstantial protections and aid to such victims, and the proposedamendment would do little more than impose a substantial burden onemployers.
