On June 6, the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) was directed to investigate the circumstances surrounding an Edmonton Police Service (EPS) officer-involved shooting that took place shortly before midnight the previous day. During that incident, a 33-year-old man sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
