A Chinese national who is standing trial for culpable homicide in Nigeria, Geng Quangrong, has told the court that he killed his girlfriend, Ummukulsum Sani, 24, while he was trying to free himself from suffocation. Standing before Justice Sanusi Ado Ma’aji of Kano State High Court, Quangrong said he was held under pressure by his late girlfriend and had to fight back. He said while struggling to save his life from his Nigerian girlfriend, Ummukulsum, he stabbed her to death. He, however, said he did not intend to life-threatening injury on the late Ummukulsum.
A Chinese National, Frank Geng-Quangrong, 47, on Wednesday, told a Kano High Court that he spent over N60 million on his Nigerian girlfriend, Ummukulsum Sani,22.
A Kano state high court, sitting on miller road on Friday summoned the Chief Medical Director of Murtala Muhammad Specialists Hospital, Kano, Dr Hussain Mohammad and one police constable Aminu Halilu for cross-examination over the circumstances surrounding the alleged murder of Ummukulsum Sani.
