Duluth’s mayor, Emily Larson, issued an indoor mask mandate, effective January 13, 2022, due to the spread of the COVID-19 Omicron variant. The mask mandate takes effect on Friday January 14, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. and will terminate on February 12, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.
Duluth Mayor Larson announced the mask mandate during a midday press conference on January 13, with representatives from Essentia Health and St. Luke's on hand.
