New Covid-19 tally surpasses 3,000 mark, 15 more deaths — Health DG

KUALA LUMPUR: New Covid-19 cases today breached the 3,000 mark with 3,142 cases with 15 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative Covid-19 cases in the country to 401,593. Health Ministry director-general (DG) Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said all the victims who died yesterday were locals, bringing the death toll due to the coronavirus to 1,477. In his statement today, Dr Noor Hisham said Selangor remains the state with the highest number of new cases at 1,019, followed by Kelantan (523) and Kuala Lumpur (440). He said in the last 24 hours, 1,822 cases of recoveries were recorded, bringing the cumulative total to 373,397, while active cases were now 26,719.
