40 active shooter incidents occurred in 2020, FBI report says

WASHINGTON - The FBI has designated 40 shootings in 2020 as active shooter incidents and said that 38 people were killed in the incidents, including one officer, and that 126 people were hurt. The numbers excluded the shooter.
The shootings spanned across 19 states, with California seeing the highest total at six.
FBI officials released their findings in a recent report his month in an effort to help law enforcement officers, other first responders, corporations, educators and the public understand the incidents to come up with prevention and response methods.

A lawyer for Ronnie O Bannon, the DJ for Louisville rapper Jack Harlow, is seeking to have his bond reduced and is claiming self-defense in court, after O Bannon was indicted on a murder charge last week in a nightclub shooting.
O Bannon, known professionally as Ronnie Lucciano, is accused of killing Kasmira Nash during a pre-Kentucky Derby party at Vibes Restaurant and Ultra Lounge, according to Jefferson Commonwealth s Attorney Tom Wine s office.
O Bannon, 27, was indicted on one count of murder and one count of tampering with physical evidence after Louisville Metro Police said he shot Nash about 1:30 a.m. May 1 inside the nightclub, 1346 River Road.
